Federal election laws and regulations  limit communications from political action committees (PACs) to individuals who haven’t given their prior approval to receive PAC-related information. These rules protect employees from being bombarded with information from every PAC affiliated with every association to which their employer belongs.  Nevertheless, PAC contributions are a matter of public record, so as a big believer in transparency I’m pleased that we can report on which candidates the Textile Rental Services Association Political Action Committee (TRSAPAC) assisted during the 2008 election cycle.
