Advocacy Update NYC ‘Clean Act’ Enacted
With the recent passage of the Clean Act by the New York City Council, industrial launderers have 180 days from Aug. 3 bill signing by Mayor Bill de Blasio to submit their license applications.
The Clean Act adds licensing requirements for linen and uniform supply launderers serving New York City. While the bill places regulations on the industrial laundry industry, the version passed by the City Council is significantly better than the original legislation introduced last year.
