Behavior-Based Safety: A Key Element in a Total Safety Culture

Two years ago, Superior Linen Service Inc., Tulsa, OK, adopted the total safety culture philosophy. 
 
We defined total safety culture as a work environment in which everyone feels responsible for safety and pursues it on a daily basis. Once we had defined our goal, we needed to determine how we could turn that vision into reality. We had to move from theory to tangible concepts and practices.
