Biz Group Sues EPA Over Cuts in Air-Quality Limits
The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is leading a coalition effort to challenge the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) move to drop the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for fine particulate matter (PM2.5) to 9 micrograms per cubic meter. This coalition, comprised of major business trade associations, including TRSA, has filed a lawsuit in the Circuit Court in Washington, DC, contesting the EPA’s action outside of the normal five-year review cycle mandated by the Clean Air Act.
