Campus Consolidation — ‘Student’ Laundry Closure Spotlights Societal Shifts
Recently, we reported on Emerald Textiles’ new 84,000-square-foot (7,804-square-meter) healthcare laundry complex in Livingston, CA. This facility soon will begin processing up to 60 million lbs. (27.2 million kg) of rental textiles annually for Northern California hospitals (bit.ly/emeraldlivingston). As part of this transition, Campus Laundry, located on the campus of Monterey Bay Academy, a Seventh Day Adventist high school in La Selva Beach, CA, will see its production transferred later this year to Emerald’s plant about 106 miles northeast in Turlock, CA.
