We arrived at the Hospital Cooperative Laundry’s (HCL) main plant northeast of downtown Denver on a Monday morning, and the place was humming. At this facility, everyone’s hustling every minute they’re on duty—whether they’re in soil sort, wash aisle, finishing, cart packing or elsewhere. What’s more, they smile a lot and by all accounts take pride in their work.
