Canadian Trade Winds

The ratification of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) more than a decade ago opened the gates of increased commerce between the United States and its nearest neighbor in terms of both location and economy: Canada. In the intervening years, the value of goods exchanged between the two countries has tripled, and local economies on the world’s largest unsecured border have particularly benefited. One of those communities is Abbotsford, British Columbia, located about an hour outside of Vancouver and home to Ecotex.
