Germany’s long tradition of apprenticeships provides a pipeline of skilled workers for many industries there, including the commercial laundry business.
 
Herbert Kannegiesser GmbH, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of laundry equipment, has an apprenticeship program that dates back to the early 1950s, just a few years after company was founded in 1948. The company has five manufacturing plants in Germany, including its headquarters in Vlotho.
