Communicating Effectively with Hispanic Employees

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) recently reported that Hispanics account for the highest number of occupational injuries and illnesses (158,760) and fatalities (937) among all ethnic/racial groups in fiscal year 2006—the latest year for which injury, illness and fatality data are available.  Moreover, the 937 fatalities among Hispanic employees rose from the 923 work-related deaths in 2005, representing the largest total since the fatality census began in 1992.
