Compliance Rules—Pay Attention To State Requirements
When it comes to safety, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment training, linen, uniform and facility services companies needn’t worry too much about having to comply with lots of new federal regulations. However, they do need to pay close attention to what’s happening at the state level.
The federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) enforcement guidance on unlawful harassment remains up in the air for now, awaiting approval from the Office of Management and Budget. Meanwhile, new federal legislation isn’t expected in this area in the near term.
