Congress Oks Spending Plan—With Tax Breaks

On Dec 17 and 18, 2015, the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate approved spending bills designed to fund the government through 2016. President Barack Obama signed the combined spending measure on the evening of Dec. 18.
