When Joseph LaPorta was named president and CEO of the Healthcare Linen Services Group (HLSG) in October 2018, he quickly realized that he faced a challenge in bringing a distinct group of nine formerly independent healthcare plants and one industrial plant across four Midwestern states together as a single organization.

“One of the initial observations was our lack of integration and standardization among our plants and leadership teams,” LaPorta says. “In essence we were operating very much in silos. Operating a multi-site, multistate enterprise comes with a number of challenges, one being lack of integration, standardization and connected culture.”
