Richard Farmer, 86, the founder and chairman emeritus of Cintas Corp., Mason, OH, passed away on Aug. 4. Farmer created Cintas from a family-owned business processing shop towels in Cincinnati. Farmer served as CEO through 1995 and as board chairman through 2010. Since then, he held the title of chairman emeritus. Farmer received numerous accolades for his business acumen. He was inducted into the Greater Cincinnati Business Hall of Fame and was named E&Y’s Entrepreneur of the Year.
