Richard K. Bird, 81, the retired board chairman of Tingue, Brown & Co., Saddle Brook, NJ, passed away on Jan. 31. He served 54.5 years with the company, leaving its board only last year after rising through the ranks to the post of CEO and chairman of the Board of Directors. The company’s current CEO, William J. Tingue, offered praise for Bird’s many accomplishments. “Thank you Dick for serving your company for over 50 years with great professionalism and inspired leadership.”
