What is your company’s policy for addressing jams in finishing equipment?

 

“When a jam occurs at Arrow Linen, operators are trained to shut down and notify, not remove, not repair. The following steps are taken:

  1. Production supervisor or maintenance personnel are notified of the jam.
  2. Maintenance personnel initiate LOTO (lock out/tag out) procedures and remove the jam.
  3. Maintenance personnel restart the machine and observe performance.
  4. If further intervention is needed, a production manager will be informed of predicted downtime.
