Fight Cargo Theft: Send in the Drones

Cargo theft is increasing rapidly. The FBI estimates losses in the U.S. and Canada reached nearly $725 million in 2025. That’s up 60% from the previous year, according to a recent article in manufacturing.net. Criminals increasingly use tactics such as fraud, fake credentials and cyberattacks to steal shipments throughout the supply chain. Traditional security measures such as fences and fixed cameras often leave gaps, especially at large logistics facilities (or commercial laundry parking lots). The article argues that Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), aka drones, can boost security. Visit bit.ly/DroneDefense1.
