Small businesses struggling from the impact of COVID-19 now have another round of financial help thanks to the December passage of the Emergency Coronavirus Relief Act of 2020, a bill that contained $284 billion for the renewed Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Designed to provide a direct incentive for linen, uniform and facility services businesses, including sole proprietors, independent contractors and the self-employed to keep their workers on the payroll, even those that previously applied for and received a PPP loan from the first round.
