Australian Laundry Group Responds to Hotelier’s Gripes
Luke Simpkins, CEO of the Laundry Association Australia (LAA), recently has responded to comments from disgruntled accommodation providers by encouraging all parties to work together. Complaints include linen shortages and rising costs as Australia nears its busiest summer holiday season in three years. Many laundry operators are citing staffing issues and inflation as the reasons for service delays and higher prices. “Members will continue to seek ways to increase our capacity and encourage innovation and technical/automation advancements to reduce costs,” said Simpkins.
