Going Green in the ’70s

Textile Rental recently featured a Swedish company (February, pg. 36) that uses methane in its route vehicles—both to control costs and to benefit the environment. In an earlier era of energy/green consciousness, Reliable Linen Service, Los Angeles, was thinking and acting along the same lines. Its response—as shown in the photo collage above—was to customize its route vehicles to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) instead of gasoline.
