Today’s textile service industry confronts a painful reality: Over 30-plus years, the industry has lost a significant portion of the reusable textile business. In some markets, up to 92% has shifted to disposables. This didn’t happen because our industry failed to innovate or offer new products. Rather, the reusable business has faded because many businesses no longer see its inherent value in many work environments. To fix this problem, we need to step up our marketing efforts. That means expanding our drive to educate prospects on the economic and environmental benefits our industry offers.
