Fleet managers know the alternative fuel industry is growing. Biodiesel fuel and blends, typically used in medium and heavy trucks and agriculture, are gaining ground in major market sectors. All you need is a diesel engine and manufacturer recommendations, says the National Biodiesel Board (NBB). What’s more, renewable fuel produces 50% fewer greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) than diesel. By 2022, the biodiesel industry expects to replace 10% (4 billion gallons) of petroleum diesel, says NBB.
