Greenhouse Gas Bill Should Aid Recyclers
After years of debate and discussion, cap and trade legislation has made its way to the U.S. Senate. As my colleagues on the Finance Committee prepare to consider The Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act of 2009 (S. 1733), I have asked that they consider the affects their actions may have on the reuse and recycling industries in our country. Specifically, such industries should be exempted from greenhouse registry requirements imposed in any legislation considered by the full Senate.
