High pH Discharges—POTW Group Benefits

The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) recently learned from TRSA that local publicly owned treatment works (POTWs) require many commercial laundries to lower the pH of their wastewater before discharging it to the sewer system. TRSA Director of Environmental Affairs Bob Schaffer outlined this situation in his April “On the Environment” column in Textile Rental.
