The newly formed independent Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC) is preparing for next month’s program kickoff. 
 
The HLAC Board of Directors is finalizing accreditation standards and a system for inspecting and certifying healthcare laundry plants. The organization also is establishing a Web site to disseminate program information.
 
HLAC Executive Director Chris Isely said the group planned to launch its Web site in late February, featuring a draft of HLAC’s accreditation standards for a 45-day public comment period.
