Industry Operators and Associates Combat VOCs
With the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) increasingly looking to regulate the textile services industry for its volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions as a result of print and shop towel processing in its plants in New England and across the United States, the industry has taken steps to lower emissions through plant machinery and/or processing techniques. Several textile services companies that are processing shop towels in an environmentally friendly manner shared their insights on how they are decreasing emissions, while TRSA fights for fair and balanced regulation on this issue on Capitol Hill and in meetings with EPA officials.
