While President Donald Trump’s three big-ticket items of healthcare reform, tax reform and infrastructure investment haven’t (yet) resulted in any action on the policy front, labor issues important to the linen, uniform and facility services industry have been working their way through various regulatory or legislative policy processes.
 
Topics such as the overtime rule and joint employment consumed a lot of time. Other labor-related issues now under discussion are expanding right-to-work legislation and whether employees can exchange overtime pay for time off.
