Labor Shortage: U.S. Workforce Participation Remains Below Pre-Pandemic Levels
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is capturing trends on job openings, labor-force participation, quit rates and more to understand and analyze the current state of the American workforce. In its latest analysis, the U.S. Chamber found that the U.S. has a lot of jobs available, but not enough people to fill them. The Chamber writes that, “If every unemployed person in the country found a job, we would still have millions of open jobs.” According to the latest data, there are currently 8.5-million job openings in the U.S. but only 6.5-million unemployed workers.
