Lindström’s Oulu service center in Finland has become its first low-emission facility after transitioning its entire washing process to locally produced biogas, a renewable fuel made from organic waste such as food scraps and wastewater sludge. Combined with other energy improvements, this shift has cut emissions by up to 90% compared to fossil fuels. The facility now uses biogas for both washing and drying, along with low-emission electricity and renewable fuels for transportation. Processing about 12 million lbs.
