Mandatory Vaccine Rule—Get Ready For OSHA’S New COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard

In early September, President Joe Biden (D) issued two executive orders mandating vaccines for federal workers and contractors. He also announced new requirements for large employers and healthcare providers that he said would affect around 100 million workers, more than two-thirds of the U.S. workforce.

In addition, Biden announced that he has asked the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to issue an emergency rule—known as an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS)—that will require all employers with 100 or more employees to ensure that their workforce is fully vaccinated.
