Driving Fast Casual: Rising Costs Hurt NYC Fine Dining
 
Manhattan is a fine-dining mecca, with choices including virtually every type of fare imaginable. But high rents and minimum wage hikes are pushing some establishments to “throw in the dish towel” according to an online report in Crain’s New York Business. “Many see fast-casual as a way to make money without the headaches of a traditional restaurant,” said Andrew Rigie, who heads the New York City Hospitality Alliance, a lobbying group.
