U.S. Factory Output Up Strongly
Production at U.S. industrial plants continues to climb, with a recent monthly expansion registering the strongest growth since May 2014, according the Associated Press.
The Institute for Supply Management, a trade group for purchasing managers, reported that its manufacturing index reached 60.8 in February, up nearly two points from 59.1 in January. Out of 18 manufacturing industries tracked, 15 reported growth in February, including transportation equipment and electronic products.
