Survey: Americans Still Wary of Doctors due to COVID-19

Nearly 40% of Americans are hesitant to visit a physician’s office because of concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Becker’s Hospital Review, an online enewsletter. The article cited research from a study published in January 2021 by the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.

In addition, the study states that 30% of respondents haven’t had a routine exam since the pandemic started.

Beyond procedural checkups, 51% of respondents don’t feel comfortable scheduling a medical procedure during the pandemic.
