Federal Vax Mandates Blamed for Hospital Staffing Shortages

President Joe Biden’s (D) plan to vaccinate healthcare workers against COVID-19 could spur workforce shortages, according to Becker’s Hospital Review.

The mandate, passed in early September, requires healthcare providers with 100 or more employees to be fully vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID-19 testing, thus affecting more than 80 million workers in private-sector businesses. The mandate also requires federal executive branch workers and contractors who do business with the federal government to be vaccinated.
