Carry Out Still Thriving Post-COVID

The take-out and delivery services that helped keep many restaurants afloat during the pandemic shutdown continue to play a significant role in restaurant recovery, according to SmartBrief.

The National Restaurant Association’s 2023 State of the Industry report shows that 66% of consumers are more likely to order takeout from a restaurant than before the pandemic, and 55% say the same about delivery. Fifty-five percent of adults also believe purchasing takeout is essential to their lifestyles.
