AHLA Survey: 82% of Hotels Are Short-Staffed

A recent survey from the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) indicates that 82% of hoteliers are experiencing staffing shortages, according to a recent article in Hotel Business.

Efforts that hotels are making to fight back against these shortages include: 75% of respondents said they’re hiking wages; 64% are offering flexible hours; and 36% are boosting benefits.

The survey also indicates that, on average, respondents are attempting to fill nine positions per property.
