Survey: Outpatient-Care Nurses Lax on Prevention
A recent survey showed that fewer than 20% of ambulatory-care nurses comply with all nine of the standard precautions for infection control, according to findings published in the American Journal of Infection Control. The article noted that researchers from Northwell Health in Great Neck, NY, surveyed 116 registered nurses assigned to ambulatory care areas on compliance with standard precautions.
