Below is an interview with Jorge Rivera, chief engineer for Alsco Linen and Uniform Rental Services’ new 96,000 square-foot laundry in Kyle, TX, near Austin. The plant began operations on Sept. 4, 2018, with an official opening on Jan. 23, 2019. Rivera joined Alsco following his discharge from the U.S. Navy in July 2018 after 21 years’ service. He rose through the enlisted ranks to the post of leading chief petty officer.
