NYC Licensing Law Now In Effect
After months of talks between TRSA and the New York City government officials to mitigate its regulatory impact, the city’s new laundry licensing law took effect on Jan. 31. That legislation requires commercial and on-premise laundries (OPLs) serving hotels, restaurants and other businesses in the five boroughs to acquire licenses and meet various standards set by the city government.
