Parkland OPL: Anxious Anticipation

From the moment I arrived at the Parkland Memorial Hospital’s on-premise laundry in Dallas, I knew this was a different type of textile service operation. I sensed the adrenaline rush when I saw hospital emergency crews bringing in several injured people from a bus crash that morning of April 11 that claimed at least two lives.
 
While the accident was on everyone’s lips, such events are part of the daily life of processing healthcare linens and uniforms on-site for a major public hospital in a large city.
