This month in TRSA’s bimonthly update on Canadian policy and regulations, we are looking at the federal government’s proposals for reducing plastic pollution and how those plans could impact linen, uniform and facility services companies.
In 2021 Canada’s ministries of Health and of the Environment announced that they were designating plastic manufactured goods as a toxic substance under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act. This finding was based on research on the negative impacts of plastic pollution on Canada’s environment, and particularly the risks it poses to animals who suffer from widespread plastic pollution.
