For many years, TRSA has fought to keep nonprofit entities from competing in the commercial laundry marketplace.
TRSA members pay corporate income taxes, state sales and use taxes and real estate taxes on the land on which their plants are located. Nonprofit entities pay none of these taxes and it’s unfair for the government to permit such entities to compete on a tax-free basis with tax-paying laundries.
