‘Pro Driver’ Or ‘Entrepreneur’: Which Route To Growth?

I speak regularly at conferences like last month’s TRSA Workforce Management Summit, and I’m always pleased to see many multigenerational family businesses in attendance. It’s really exciting to know that the second, third, fourth and occasionally fifth-generation independent family-owned businesses are keeping up their traditions of quality and service, while at the same time embracing new ways of doing business.
 
Of course, with businesses transitioning from one generation to the next, it’s not unusual to see cultures get tweaked or even redirected by those wanting to put their “fingerprints” on progress.
