Alfredo Hernandez, office/HR manager for Linens of the Week/Miami, immigrated to the United States from Nicaragua in 1985 amid a civil war. Today he oversees safety programs for LOTW’s Miami operation (see pg. 42). We interviewed Hernandez after riding on a route in South Beach. Having seen the company’s safety program in action, we wanted to learn more about LOTW’s approach to building a safety culture.
