One of TRSA’s top advocacy concerns is the regulation of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). TRSA and industry partners were successful in getting harmful amendments removed from the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which would have regulated all PFAS as a single class and designated them as hazardous chemicals. TRSA serves on the EPA’s PFAS Advisory Committee to proactively represent the linen, uniform and facility services industry. Recent legislative actions on PFAS reinforces their standing as a key priority.
