Who can forget the smell, hand and crispness of 100% cotton sheets and pillow cases run in tallow soap, 160° F water and run through the ironer? As much as I love good change, I don’t like change for the sake of change. It’s just as off-putting to me as it is to most of you when I’m in a plant and I hear, “We’ve done this since my great grandfather ran the place.” We must remember, however, that Great Grandpa wasn’t necessarily doing it wrong.
