Reuse and Recycle Water Worries and Woes
From late 2007 through 2008, the city of Atlanta, faced one of the worst droughts in its history. The lack of water was so bad, in fact, that Atlanta’s Lake Lanier was reduced to mere drops. Residents and local industries were asked to conserve, reduce and reuse/recycle water any way they could. Even today, in 2010, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is still strictly limiting the volume of water that can be pumped out of the lake in order to maintain a sustainable water supply for the Atlanta metropolitan area.
