While media attention recently has focused on safety in textile services plants, the drivers who service routes also must address safety issues both on the road and while they’re making deliveries. 
 
A universal theme from safety experts and leading operators is that in order to work safely, employees in plants and on routes must hear a consistent message from management that safety is a top priority. In other words, management must make it clear that safety is every bit as important as production, customer service or anything else that’s vital to the business.
