In today’s laundry environment, the majority of hourly employees are non-English speaking (mostly Spanish-speaking) immigrant workers. As employers are constantly in pursuit of an injury-free workplace, the challenge of conducting effective safety training for injury prevention is critical in itself. Add to that the learning and cultural challenges that immigrant employees bring to the table, and it becomes clear that safety training is rarely a one-size-fits-all proposal.
