TRSA’s Director of Environmental Affairs Bob Schaffer retired on Jan. 31. His departure caps a 50-year career in government and the private sector, including a six-year stint as TRSA’s director of environmental affairs.
 
“We’re grateful to Bob Schaffer for so many things, but his greatest contribution was his leadership while at Coyne Textile Services in getting the LaundryESP® program established,” said TRSA President and CEO Roger Cocivera. “Without that, it would have been difficult if not impossible to convince the EPA not to impose costly categorical standards on wastewater from textile service companies.”
