Stain Management—Evaluating Bleach Options

The goal of laundering is to remove soils that come into contact with the textile item while the item was in service, so that the textile item can be returned to service once again. The vast majority of these soils are removed during the Break (or Suds) Operation of the laundering procedure. Those soils that are not removed during the Break Operation are called stains and must be dealt with by using other types of chemistry.
